POSITION OBJECTIVE:

This role focuses on assessing the performance of Power Distribution Centers (PDCs) and their individual components, ensuring the overall integrity of the finalized project.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set up and connect testing equipment efficiently.
  • Possess a foundational understanding of electrical principles.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
  • Exhibit strong skills in wiring and assembly.
  • Showcase mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
  • Conduct wire checks, high-potential tests, and various electrical assessments.
  • Support fellow Test Technicians in the evaluation and functional testing of equipment.
  • Confirm project functionality against the established Sequence of Operations.
  • Complete all necessary documentation and maintain organized job folders.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position does not involve supervising others.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

  • Attention to detail

  • Technical proficiency
  • Analytical problem-solving skills

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in control wiring.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position does not necessitate travel.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

Physical Requirements:

Activities: Sitting – 20%, Walking/Standing – 80%

Lifting: Capable of frequently lifting up to 50 lbs.

Bending: Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, and climb as necessary.

Vision: Requires long periods of focused work on computer screens and handling small or intricate components.

Mental Requirements: Ability to interpret, analyze, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Work Environment: Exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, noise, vibrations, and various hazards.
