Maintenance Director

The Maintenance Director will be responsible for overseeing the safety and efficiency of the maintenance resources serving the facility. This position will work closely with Operations and Engineering teams to understand their maintenance needs and provide the necessary resources to meet those needs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement plans, methods, and systems to reduce costs and improve employee and plant efficiency, safety, productivity, and reliability.
- Coordinate all maintenance activities for proper, safe execution of plant turnarounds.
- Establish and monitor key measures to ensure a comprehensive and effective maintenance and reliability program is in place.
- Evaluate existing training regimens and implement improved training for maintenance technicians and staff.
- Direct and manage site maintenance staff to implement best maintenance practices and provide technical expertise to reduce costs and improve process uptime and mechanical reliability.
- Control maintenance expenditures within budget requirements by monitoring expenditures, adjusting priorities, and forecasting maintenance needs.
- Coordinate with engineering group for capital project executions to ensure effective use of capital funds.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 7+ years of experience in maintenance, preferably in a chemical manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Ammonia, Nitric Acid, and AnSol production
- Knowledge of chemical manufacturing process and equipment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, presentation, and strong interpersonal skills
- Supervision, leadership, and mentoring skills
- Good analytical, project management, interviewing, research, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management Systems (EAM) or alternative CMMS
- Knowledge of PSM Mechanical Integrity, piping, and pressure vessel codes and jurisdictional requirements
