We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Supervisor to join our team at Fair Acres, the largest skilled nursing facility in Delaware County. As a key member of our nursing department, you will be responsible for overseeing staff to ensure the delivery of safe and therapeutic nursing care.
Responsibilities- Oversee staff to ensure the delivery of safe and therapeutic nursing care using the Nursing Process and in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, DOH Regulations, State Regulations, and the policies and procedures of Fair Acres.
- Support the facility mission and culture change.
- Meet, talk to, and build relationships with residents, families, and employees on a routine basis to identify areas of concern, implement measures to meet needs, and evaluate ongoing satisfaction.
- Meet routinely with new employees during the probationary period to evaluate performance and to help in areas identified.
- Evaluate the work site to assure that employees have the equipment they need to perform their job in a safe environment.
- Evaluate that employees are trained and competent in the operation of equipment required for their job responsibilities.
- Participate in monthly meetings held by Unit Managers with all employees, pertinent information related to the facility, department, job function, status of unit, etc.
- Communicate critical issues with Nursing Administration on a routine basis regarding issues, concerns, or challenges and intended plan of action to correct outstanding issues.
- Routinely audit and evaluate outcomes of high-risk, high-volume, and problem-prone procedures.
- RN from an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred.
- 3 Years in Long Term Care.
