Busperson Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Busperson to join our team at Loews Philadelphia Hotel: Bank & Bourbon. As a Busperson, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our dining areas, providing exceptional guest service, and supporting our servers in delivering an outstanding dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Stock and maintain supplies in all service areas, ensuring a seamless and efficient service experience.
• Inspect and prepare all service ware prior to use, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and quality.
• Clear soiled plates, service ware, and other items from service areas and tables to the dish wash area, sorting them appropriately.
• Clean and preset tables with all service ware, creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
• Greet guests and assist servers with the delivery of water and beverages, providing exceptional guest service.
• Remove unneeded place settings from occupied tables, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
• Carry trays of food from the kitchen to the table, ensuring timely and efficient service.
• Assist servers in the presentation of meals for large parties and during periods of heavy volume, providing support and ensuring a seamless service experience.
• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitary condition of the dining room and service areas, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and quality.
• Assist in the completion of post-meal clean-up and side work duties, ensuring a seamless and efficient service experience.

• Notify appropriate individuals promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significance, ensuring effective communication and resolution.
• Be polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management, and fellow team members, providing exceptional guest service.
• Execute emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards, ensuring a safe and secure environment for our guests and team members.
• Comply with required safety regulations and procedures, adhering to our high standards of safety and quality.
• Attend appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions, staying up-to-date with the latest information and best practices.
• Maintain the cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work areas, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and quality.
• Comply with hotel standards, policies, and rules, ensuring a seamless and efficient service experience.
• Recycle whenever possible, reducing our environmental impact and promoting sustainability.
• Remain current with hotel information and changes, staying up-to-date with the latest information and best practices.
• Comply with hotel uniform and grooming standards, presenting a professional and polished image.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in education and learning.
• Ability to walk, stand, stoop, bend, lift, and carry trays weighing 35+ pounds repetitively during the entire shift, ensuring physical stamina and endurance.
• Excellent guest service skills, providing exceptional service and creating a memorable experience for our guests.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, ensuring a seamless and efficient service experience.
