About Kindred Healthcare: Kindred Healthcare operates a modern, 40-bed Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation Hospital dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our patients. We focus on a wide range of rehabilitation needs, including but not limited to stroke recovery, brain injury rehabilitation, and care for neurological and cardiac conditions.
Job Responsibilities:
The primary role involves maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility. Responsibilities include:
- Thoroughly cleaning patient rooms, restrooms, lounges, offices, corridors, walls, and windows on a daily basis or as scheduled.
- Performing floor maintenance tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and polishing.
- Replacing paper products and soap in restrooms, as well as cleaning mirrors, sinks, and toilets.
- Utilizing various cleaning equipment and machinery, including vacuums and floor scrubbers.
- Collecting and disposing of trash from the facility on a daily basis.
- Adhering to safety protocols and departmental policies while executing all duties.
- Reporting any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues and performing minor repairs when necessary.
- Ensuring linens are stocked and available throughout the hospital.
- Assisting with office or room relocations as required.
- Following all infection control policies and procedures, and reporting safety hazards to supervisors.
- Completing any additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in cleaning or housekeeping roles, is advantageous. Strong communication skills with patients, visitors, and other staff members are essential.
