Detailed Job Description

This is an exempt full-time position that offers a competitive salary of $65,000 annually, based on experience, and includes health, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation, personal, and sick days. Mileage reimbursement for agency-related travel is also provided.

The successful candidate must have a JD degree, at least 5-10 years of work experience in domestic violence, non-profit, or legal settings, knowledge of Family, Matrimonial law, and Immigration law, and membership in the Nassau County Bar Association or ability to become a member.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving as a source of information on Agency's legal services, pro bono policies, and procedures;
  • Recruiting attorneys from law firms, collaborating with other non-for-profit agencies, governmental agencies, legal service partners, and community leaders to expand pro bono participation;
  • Mentoring, supervising, and training pro bono attorneys in Family, Matrimonial, and Immigration law;
