POSITION SUMMARY:

The Mixologist will be tasked with crafting and serving beverages to patrons. This role requires the ability to blend various ingredients to create both traditional and unique drinks that meet the preferences and expectations of guests. The primary goal is to engage with hotel visitors and ensure they enjoy a memorable experience at the bar or lounge. Mixologists are expected to maintain positive interactions with guests while efficiently preparing and serving drinks in a welcoming manner. It is essential to keep the bar area and workspace tidy and organized.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage with guests, taking drink and food orders.
  • Deliver food and beverages to customers.
  • Verify the age of guests to ensure compliance with alcohol and tobacco purchase regulations.
  • Combine ingredients to create cocktails and other beverages.
  • Prepare drinks according to established recipes and standards.
  • Offer both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Organize bottles and glassware for appealing presentations.
  • Evaluate guests' preferences and provide recommendations.
  • Utilize sales techniques to promote upselling and suggestive selling.
  • Assist guests in selecting drinks and food options.
  • Serve customers with a friendly and accommodating demeanor.
  • Provide information about hotel amenities, dining options, and local attractions.
  • Recognize when a guest has consumed too much alcohol and politely refuse further service if necessary.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage offerings, menus, and promotions.
  • Handle and manage items such as glassware and bottles safely.
  • Clean up after guests and maintain a clean workspace.
  • Wash glassware and utensils after each use.
  • Ensure a clean working environment through regular cleaning tasks.
  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting and bending.
  • Process payments for drinks served and reconcile all transactions.
  • Manage a designated cash bank and adhere to cash handling protocols.
  • Prepare inventory requests as needed to maintain stock levels.
  • Ensure the bar area is fully stocked with necessary tools and supplies for beverage preparation.
  • Focus on guest satisfaction and foster an exceptional experience.
  • Adhere to all food and beverage regulations.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Utilize personal creativity to enhance the brand experience. Mixologists play a crucial role in the establishment's success by delivering high-quality drinks in a busy environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Eligibility to work in the United States is required.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, is necessary.

EDUCATION:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

EXPERIENCE:

Prior bartending experience is essential, along with familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to remain on feet for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed.
  • Ability to carry and balance heavy trays of food and beverages.
  • Frequent use of hands and arms.
  • Continuous bending, reaching, and twisting.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to uniform standards.
