Snowcat Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled Snowcat Operator to join our team at Palisades Tahoe. As a key member of our snowmaking and grooming team, you will be responsible for operating snowcats to maintain the highest quality of snow surfaces on our slopes.

• Snowcat Operation: Safely operate snowcats to groom and maintain snow surfaces on our slopes.
• Preventative Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance checks on snowcats to minimize downtime and prevent machine damage.
• Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document and report the condition of grooming machinery to vehicle maintenance daily.
• Communication: Effectively communicate with vehicle maintenance shops regarding needs and requirements.

• Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED, valid driver's license with no restrictions, and completion of Pisten Bully Pro Academy on-line training.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, talk, see, hear, and ski regularly, with occasional balancing, climbing, reaching, squatting, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crawling.
• Working Conditions: Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions, including extreme winter cold and blizzard conditions.

• Technical Skills: Strong technical ability to maintain snow surfaces to meet high standards with necessary supervision.
• Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, oral and written, with ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Customer Service: Strong sense of customer service and safety awareness, with ability to work well as part of a team.
