Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Smoky Hill Health and Rehabilitation. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in evaluating and treating residents and short-term patients at our Skilled Nursing Facility in Salina, Kansas.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Occupational Therapy plans of care for facility residents and short-term patients.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to Occupational Therapy Assistants as needed.
  • Assist with patient screenings for the need for Occupational Therapy services.
  • Communicate progress and any barriers to OT goals with interdisciplinary team members.
  • Complete timely OT documentation in compliance with regulatory, licensing, and payor requirements.
  • Maintain a safe and clean treatment area, adhering to infection prevention methods.
  • Provide patient, family, and caregiver training on OT plans of care and recommendations for follow-up.
Qualifications
  • OT degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Current Kansas license in good standing as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Meet physical requirements to deliver OT responsibilities.
  • Experience in a geriatric rehabilitation setting preferred.
