Job Overview

The Electrical Controls Systems Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems to meet the needs of our rapidly growing medical device sector. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and effective production processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop control systems for industrial machinery and equipment
  • Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), servo motors, and pneumatic systems
  • Create and review electrical schematics using AutoCAD software
  • Collaborate with other engineers and technicians to optimize control system performance
  • Conduct tests and experiments to validate control system functionality
  • Perform regular maintenance and repairs on control systems
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in control systems technology
  • Provide technical support and training to production teams
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical controls engineering
  • Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting, especially with Allen Bradley systems
  • Experience with HMI design and programming
  • Knowledge of control systems, servo motors, and pneumatic systems
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and electrical schematics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
