The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures, preparing operating rooms, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
• Assist surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures involving pediatric patients.
• Prepare operating rooms and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and assist in managing their comfort and safety during surgery.
• Provide post-operative care and monitor patients' recovery from anesthesia.
• Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures and post-operative care instructions.
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as legal regulations, regarding patient care.
Requirements:
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric operating room nursing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and on-call shifts.
