Job Summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our Anesthesia Care Team. As a CRNA, you will provide high-quality anesthesia services to patients of all ages, working collaboratively with anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless perioperative care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide experienced anesthetic services and airway management for patients undergoing surgical procedures
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized anesthesia plans
  • Conduct pre-anesthetic evaluations, anesthetic inductions, and post-anesthetic care
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, prioritizing patient safety and well-being
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program
  • Current, non-probationary California RN and CRNA licenses
  • Valid NBCRNA board certification as a Nurse Anesthetist
  • BLS/CPR and ACLS certification
  • Theoretical background in anatomy, physiology, neurosciences, general medicine, and pharmacology
  • Ability to perform initial history and physical examination, identify major medical problems, and formulate appropriate plans of action
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two (2) years of recent working licensed CRNA experience
  • Recent experience with complex anesthetic cases
  • Experience and proficiency with OB anesthesia care and services
