The Opportunity
We offer a competitive compensation package, including an estimated salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes full healthcare benefits and 401k for full-time employees, with a company match. We support professional growth and leadership opportunities, as well as CME, organizational conference, and workshop opportunities.
As a Mobile Healthcare Innovator at DispatchHealth, you will provide high-quality in-home care and treatment for patients experiencing complex injuries and illnesses. You will collaborate with a team to perform comprehensive health assessments, deliver therapeutic interventions, and ensure continuity of care through effective communication and documentation.
About You
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with acute care experience in ER, Urgent Care, or Internal Medicine. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of APP experience in these settings and be licensed as an APP in Virginia. We offer flexible work schedules and PTO, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive health assessments and diagnose and treat complex illnesses.
- Provide therapeutic interventions, such as splinting, suturing, wound care, and minor procedures.
- Analyze test data to diagnose, treat, and arrange appropriate follow-up for the patient to ensure continuity of care.
- Educate patients and families on how to treat their acute illness and manage their health and well-being.
- Effectively navigate difficult conversations related to end-of-life issues and goals of care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, family, the medical power of attorney, primary care provider, and all individuals involved in the patient's care.
