Position Overview:

Oregon Sleep Associates (OSA) is seeking a dedicated full-time Medical Assistant to support our team of board-certified sleep specialists. This role is crucial in providing exceptional care to our patients in a professional environment.

Location: NW Portland

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive patient intake for both in-person and virtual appointments to enhance patient experience.
  • Assist patients during medical consultations, ensuring accurate documentation of medical information.
  • Coordinate scheduling for medical services and diagnostic evaluations as instructed by healthcare providers.
  • Confirm patient insurance coverage and eligibility.
  • Support the management of prescription renewals and referrals.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as needed to foster team success.

Qualifications:

  • At least one year of practical experience in medical assisting.
  • Current Medical Assistant certification is required.
  • Strong customer service orientation and commitment to high-quality patient care.
  • Experience with Athena electronic health records is advantageous, though not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated reliability, a strong work ethic, and a positive demeanor in a dynamic setting.
  • Excellent multitasking skills along with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
