Overview:
Outbound Mammoth is in search of a dedicated Kitchen Steward / Food Preparation Assistant to enhance our culinary team.
The Kitchen Steward / Food Preparation Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring the kitchen remains clean and organized while supporting food preparation activities.
The ideal candidate should possess a strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and the capability to thrive in a high-energy environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Clean and sanitize all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
2. Maintain a tidy and organized dishwashing area.
3. Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and assembling dishes.
4. Ensure all kitchen spaces, such as floors, counters, and storage areas, are clean and orderly.
5. Properly handle and store all food items in accordance with health and safety standards.
6. Aid in receiving and storing kitchen supplies and deliveries.
7. Perform routine cleaning duties, such as sweeping, mopping, and disposing of trash.
8. Assist with basic cooking tasks as required under the guidance of kitchen staff.
9. Adhere to all health and safety regulations and protocols.
10. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless and efficient kitchen operations.
Qualifications:
1. Previous experience as a kitchen steward or in a related position is preferred.
2. Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation.
3. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and organization.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
5. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
6. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, and hear. Must be capable of walking or standing for 90% or more of a standard 8-hour work shift. Must be capable of frequently carrying, lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 30lbs.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to an indoor working environment with a moderate noise level.

Hourly wage:
$20/hr.
