Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team on a full-time basis, working nights from 7.00 pm. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze patient health data, involving the patient, family, and other healthcare providers as necessary.
  • Perform initial assessments based on patient presentation, recording relevant data on the nursing component of the Interdisciplinary Admission Assessment.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care, incorporating discharge planning and ongoing assessments to revise expected outcomes and the patient plan of care as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers, promoting continuity of care and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in the evaluation of the quality and effectiveness of nursing practices, supporting measures to improve practice and patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current New York State license or permit as a Registered Professional Nurse.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with patients and their families, demonstrating recognition of cultural diversity.
  • Ability to clearly communicate in verbal and written format, with analytical skills to assess and develop solutions to clinical situations or unit problems.
  • BLS certification and de-escalation training, with ACLS (ICU, Float pool) certification preferred.
  • Ability to frequently lift/carry more than 75 lbs, push/pull more than 100 lbs, bend, squat, kneel, climb steps/ladder, and reach above shoulders.
