Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse II to join our team at SMCS-Sutter Med Center - Sacramento. As a key member of our Infusion Center, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest level of quality and safety in our acute patient setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, coordinate, and deliver nursing care to patients, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that incorporate psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.
- Foster collaborative relationships with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers through effective communication.
- Adhere to hospital policies, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws and regulations to promote an optimal patient experience.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- RN-Registered Nurse of California.
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider.
- Infusion administering Chemo, ONS/ONCC-Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate within 6 months.
- 2 years of recent relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated general knowledge and competence with regard to nursing theories, concepts, and practices.
- Working knowledge of the healthcare industry, safety precaution policies, best practices regarding patient care and privacy, and changes in local/state/federal regulations.
- Basic knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Outlook).
Work Environment:
This position may regularly work, store, prepare, receive, unpack, transport, dispose of, or administer drug(s) identified as hazardous, or potentially hazardous, by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) for purposes of USP 800.
