Northwest Talent Solutions LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Manager to join their team in the private industry. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to become an industry expert while working with middle market clients in a fast-growing innovative environment.

Job Summary:

As a Senior Tax Manager, you will be a valued business advisor delivering industry-focused tax advisory and compliance services to middle market clients. You will work closely with firm leadership to serve clients and build the business, having a direct impact on the firm's success. Additionally, you will mentor and coach talented staff, utilizing your expertise to develop their technical and professional skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide federal tax compliance and consulting services to industry-specific clients.
  • Lead client relationships on day-to-day tax matters for various clients ranging from startups to middle market companies.
  • Consult on technical matters and special projects in corporate and flow-through taxation, accounting methods, and compliance.
  • Research tax matters, respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries, and make recommendations to clients.
  • Coordinate with specialty tax practices on complicated tax matters.
  • Manage client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure client profitability targets are met.
  • Network and build strong relationships to acquire new clients, projects, and revenue.
  • Support the growth and development of team members through mentoring and coaching.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or law or a similar degree in business (Master's or advanced degree desirable).
  • CPA or JD required.
  • 8 years of experience providing federal tax compliance and consulting services in a professional services firm.
  • 5 years of supervisory experience mentoring and counseling associates.
  • Demonstrated management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills.
  • Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills.
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred.
