At Ford Motor Company, we're seeking a skilled Cloud-Based Platform Developer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you'll play a crucial role in building a cloud-based platform to drive the development of Ford's global Release & Update capability across millions of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop cloud-based platforms using cloud-native technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive consistency of purpose in a complex organization
  • Develop and maintain APIs using back-end technologies such as Go or Python
  • Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases, database design, and SQL Queries

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or Software Engineering, or a combination of equivalent experience and education
  • 3+ years of experience developing APIs using back-end technologies
  • 3+ years of experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Understanding of security best practices in web development
  • SaaS development experience
  • Demonstrated time in role working in a multi-disciplined organization focused on delivering development efficiency
  • Excellent communication skills to achieve desired results
  • Critical Thinking: ability to apply systemic thinking, logic, and reasoning skills to identify opportunities and alternative solutions
  • Organizational skill: strong collaboration skills, clear and concise direction, and ability to move within the organization to complete work and balance tradeoffs
