Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer (Echo Tech)

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Cardiac Sonographer (Echo Tech) to join our team at Focus Staff. This is a contract assignment for 13 weeks, with a 5x8 day shift schedule.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will conduct multi-specialty diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to departmental procedures. They will work under the direction of the Manager, Ultrasound Services, Medical Director of Vascular Laboratory and Radiology Department, and the Administrative Director for the Department of Surgery and Radiology.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to departmental procedures.
  • Work under the direction of the Manager, Ultrasound Services, Medical Director of Vascular Laboratory and Radiology Department, and the Administrative Director for the Department of Surgery and Radiology.
  • Collaborate with experienced staff sonographers within the regional ultrasound program.
Requirements:
  • Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited school of Radiologic/Ultrasound Technology program.
  • National certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or equivalent.
  • Advance certification by accrediting body in specialty, RVT/RCS/RDCS or equivalent for Cardiac/Vascular, required within 18 months of hire.
  • BLS certification required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
  • Effective communication skills, human relations skills, and ability to analyze data and solve problems.
