**Job Summary:**

Cleburne ISD is seeking a dedicated Educational Health Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our health services department, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive health services to students, promoting health education and preventive practices, and collaborating with teachers, parents, and community partners.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Provide direct care to students using professional assessment skills, the nursing process, and established school health protocols.
  • Serve as a health advocate for students, notifying parents of accidents or illnesses and securing medical care in emergency situations.
  • Coordinate the administration of medications to students at school, following district policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement effective procedures for mandatory screening programs, making referrals as necessary.
  • Establish and maintain accurate, updated health records on all students.

**Requirements:**

  • Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program.
  • Valid registered nurse license to practice professional nursing in Texas from the State Board of Nurse Examiners.
  • Certified by the Texas Department of Health to conduct vision and hearing screening.
  • CPR Certification.
  • Two years of nursing experience, preferably in community health.

**Compensation:** The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $65,000 - $80,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
