As a QA Tester, you'll be part of a high-performing quality assurance team responsible for delivering quality software. This role involves working closely with developers, business analysts, functional/product owners, and project managers to verify code and ensure system requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in test scenario and test case identification.
  • Create and maintain test scenarios and test cases, including steps and expected results.
  • Identify and manage test data.
  • Execute functional tests.
  • Document test execution utilizing HP ALM.
  • Proactively identify defects related to functionality, technology, and integration.
  • Preliminary troubleshooting of defects to facilitate quick resolution.
  • Documentation of defects using HP ALM.
  • Effective communication of issues, risks, and daily testing status to the Team Lead or Test Lead.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience testing Point of Sale systems.
  • Experience testing systems integrating with Point of Sale systems.
  • Ability to identify and write test scenarios and test cases.
  • Test data management across various test environments.
  • Execution and tracking of test cases, including proof of testing.
  • Clear documentation of defects, retesting fixes in a timely manner.
  • Collaboration with functional and technical partners.
  • Experience with HP ALM / Quality Center, JIRA, or other test and defect management tools.
  • Agile project delivery experience.
  • Retail domain expertise preferred.
  • Functional testing experience and familiarity with ETL processes and tools.
  • SQL knowledge in the retail domain is desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, proactive participation in team environments.
  • Effective documentation and communication skills.
  • Analytical skills to assist in problem-solving and decision-making.
