About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team at Healthy Smiles. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout treatment
  • Conduct thorough reviews of patient health history to deliver quality care
  • Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments using state-of-the-art technology
  • Provide superior chairside assistance to supported dentists during various procedures
  • Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping
  • Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA & CDC guidelines
  • Manage supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed

Requirements
  • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
  • Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification, if required by the state dental practice act
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in a dental setting
  • Dentrix or other dental software experience
  • Dental assisting school certification
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
  • Lifting and carrying up to 45 pounds at times
  • Availability to attend virtual training sessions periodically
