Job Summary:

Soliant is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in providing essential speech and language services to students, ensuring their academic and social success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Develop and implement tailored IEPs for students with speech and language needs, in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Speech and Language Therapy: Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in individual and group settings, utilizing evidence-based practices and techniques.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress, share knowledge, and coordinate services.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated with best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology, participating in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure and Certification: New York state license to practice Speech-Language Pathology, Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and certification from the New York State Education Department for Speech-Language Pathologists.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of IDEA and state and federal regulations governing special education, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
