Job Summary

As a Belt Technician at Belt Power, you will be responsible for the fabrication and installation of conveyor belts and related products. Your attention to detail and mechanical aptitude will be essential in ensuring the quality and safety of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and repair belts and conveyor belt components
  • Install and vulcanize lightweight conveyor belting
  • Receive and verify incoming parts, materials, and supplies
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Pick up and deliver orders, stock, and supplies
  • Perform duties to fabricate, install, and repair conveyor belting
  • Work in a manner that ensures the safety of everyone involved

Requirements:

  • Organization and prioritization skills
  • Strong mechanical background
  • Ability to interpret and verify precise measurements
  • Basic math skills and computer skills
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Adapt to changing situations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Overtime hours and weekend work may be required

  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
  • High school diploma or equivalent education

Work Environment:

The work environment is generally performed in a fabrication shop environment. The noise level is moderately loud. Generally well-ventilated and well-lit. Shop employees may be required to wear protective clothing. Operation of heavy equipment and strict safety regulations are required.

Physical Demands:

The Belt Technician may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and will require manual dexterity and strength in arms and feet to manipulate equipment controls, tools, and other items used to make adjustments and/or minor maintenance. Will use hands, arms, back, and shoulders to handle, install, position, move items, and manipulate other objects. Could be in a standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting position for long periods of time.
