Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at the University of Maryland Medical System. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing radiographic procedures with a high level of technical proficiency and patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic procedures with a high level of technical proficiency and patient care.
  • Operate imaging equipment, including X-ray machines and computed tomography (CT) scanners.
  • Position patients for optimal imaging results.
  • Develop and process radiographic images.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduation from an approved and accredited radiologic educational program required.
  • Registration from the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists and license as a Radiological Technologist in the state of Maryland required.
  • Current BLS certification or obtained prior to providing direct patient care required.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and multiple demands. You may be exposed to physical or verbal abuse by patients and are expected to work on rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays as necessary.

Physical Requirements

This position requires standing, walking, stooping, and bending for extended periods. You will also be required to reach for and handle equipment and supplies, and have acute hearing to assimilate oral communication from patients, physicians, and other staff members.
