Job Overview
  • Work approximately 182 days during the academic year, averaging 4 hours of service each day.
Essential Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent certification.
  • Possession of a valid commercial driver's license.
  • Valid certification as a School Bus Driver in Mississippi.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background investigation.

Applicants must hold a valid Class 'B' commercial driver's license with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements, along with the Mississippi Bus Driver's Certification.

Completion of a school bus driver training program every two years, provided by the Mississippi Department of Education, is required.

Candidates must be at least 21 years old and not currently enrolled in high school.

Annual completion of a Basic First Aid course may be necessary.

Successful candidates will undergo a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, a DOT physical examination, and a criminal background check.
