Job Title: Institutional AML/KYC Officer

This is a 6-month contract role with the opportunity to transition to permanent. You will be joining a global corporate/private bank in Washington DC, working in a hybrid position that requires 3 days on-site.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough KYC, CDD, and Enhanced due diligence on institutional, financial institutions, and corporate and commercial clients.
  • Collaborate with front office staff to obtain required KYC information and documents, including financial statements, legal documentation, organizational documents, identification information, etc.
  • Analyze the ownership and control structure of legal entities to identify potential risks.
  • Detect red flags to prevent money laundering, terrorist financing, and other financial crimes, or any potential reputational risks through the due diligence process.
  • Conduct name screening for customers and related parties.
  • Ensure all customer KYC and credit-related documents are up-to-date and maintained in an organized fashion.
  • Maintain and manage CDD file review trackers and customer lists accurately and up-to-date.
  • Assist in reviewing and updating policies and procedures related to KYC and onboarding activities.
  • Coordinate with relevant teams for submitting and reviewing customer onboarding, offboarding requests, and updates.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a KYC/Client Onboarding role dealing with corporate clients.
  • Experience reviewing and clearing negative news results.
  • Strong Excel skills to assist in customer data analysis (desired but not mandatory).
