Position Overview:

The Patient Services Specialist plays a vital role within the Patient Access Department at Providence Health & Services. This position is integral to the operational framework of our revenue cycle systems, which support our healthcare ministries across various regions.


Core Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate a seamless patient experience by embodying our core strategy of delivering exceptional care.
  • Provide operational and technical support to enhance patient care services.
  • Utilize specialized knowledge in revenue cycle management to assist patients effectively.

Work Environment:

This role is structured as Per Diem/On-Call with variable shifts, allowing for flexibility in scheduling.


Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service or healthcare registration preferred.
  • Some college coursework, particularly in Medical Terminology or Medical Assistant training, is advantageous.

Certification Requirements:

Upon hire, candidates are expected to obtain certification as a Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS).
