Job Summary:
The Site Foreman - Utilities and Construction will be responsible for overseeing the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role will involve managing a team of construction workers, coordinating with engineers and owners, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Management: Ensure a safe working environment for all employees, enforce safety protocols, and conduct regular site inspections.
- Project Planning and Coordination: Work with engineers, owners, and subcontractors to plan and coordinate construction projects, including scheduling, material management, and quality control.
- Team Management: Supervise and motivate a team of construction workers, provide training and development opportunities, and ensure that employees are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
- Equipment Management: Maintain and manage construction equipment, tools, and inventory, ensuring that they are in good working condition and properly utilized.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to clients, respond to their needs and concerns, and ensure that their expectations are met.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with team members, engineers, owners, and other stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are informed and aligned with project goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: Minimum 2 years of construction experience or a combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of construction principles, methods, and standards, as well as experience with construction equipment and tools.
- Physical Demands: Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Interpersonal Communications: Ability to speak and/or signal people to convey or exchange information, including receiving assignments and instructions from supervisors.
Working Conditions:
The Site Foreman - Utilities and Construction will work in a fast-paced construction environment, with frequent exposure to noise, dust, and other hazards. The role will require regular travel to construction sites, as well as occasional work in an office environment.
