Position Overview
We are looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at SUN Technical Services. This role involves overseeing geotechnical engineering projects and delivering comprehensive analysis, design, and construction support for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and manage projects to ensure timely completion, adherence to budget constraints, and alignment with both company and client expectations.
  • Draft geotechnical and subsurface exploration documentation, including reports, specifications, and contract drawings.
  • Create detailed work plans and health and safety protocols for field operations.
  • Supervise and coordinate site investigations, design of retaining walls, settlement assessments, slope stability evaluations, and oversight of foundation and earthwork construction.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and materials testing facilities to ensure project integrity.
  • Guarantee that all project outputs meet established quality benchmarks and regulatory requirements.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns.
  • Engage with stakeholders to clarify project goals, scope, budget, and deliverables.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, or a master's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, including subsurface investigations, slope stability, settlement, and subsidence analyses, as well as the design of retaining walls, foundations, and minor civil structures.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in the relevant state is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam software applications.
