Housekeeper Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Discovery Senior Living. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our community, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and sanitize apartment homes, common areas, lounges, and offices according to schedule
  • Sweep, dust, and mop floors, as well as clean and polish fixtures and facilities
  • Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables, and maintain equipment and materials in a clean and orderly condition
  • Assist with laundry duties, including collecting, cleaning, and redistributing community laundry
  • Report any needed repairs or supply and equipment needs to the Lead Housekeeper
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules and operating instructions
  • Must demonstrate an interest in working with a senior population
