Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Systems Analyst to join our multidisciplinary team focused on applied modeling and simulation in the defense sector.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse group of professionals, including operations researchers, weapon scientists, and intelligence analysts, to support various national security initiatives.

You will utilize advanced tools such as the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM) software to evaluate the performance of military technologies and systems across different missions and operational contexts.

Essential Duties:
- Apply a blend of technical expertise and analytical thinking to test, refine, and propose alternatives for achieving desired mission objectives.
- Work within the Computational Engineering Division to support programs related to Strategic Deterrence and Global Security.
- Engage with scientists and researchers in a collaborative environment to apply key technologies to military operations.
- Leverage modeling and simulation tools to analyze mission applications, assess potential courses of action, and suggest viable alternatives.
- Contribute to the design and execution of original research that meets program and sponsor requirements.

Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DOE Q/SCI-level security clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, operations research, or a related field, along with relevant experience in military planning and operations.
- Proficiency in developing and utilizing conflict simulation tools for analytical insights.
- Experience in modifying and enhancing combat simulation tools such as AFSIM or JCATS.

Additional Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and presentation of technical information.
- Ability to manage multiple technical tasks with competing priorities while working independently.

Desirable Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field or experience in aerodynamics, radar systems, or machine learning.
- Background in military operations or substantial knowledge of the national defense enterprise.
