About the Position:
As a vital member of the Northeast Georgia Health System, you will deliver expert clinical nutrition services. This includes conducting comprehensive nutritional assessments, providing dietary counseling, formulating tailored diet plans, and implementing nutrition interventions for patients. Your primary objective is to enhance patient satisfaction, ensure quality care, comply with regulations, and foster positive public relations. You will operate in alignment with population-specific guidelines and adhere to National Patient Safety Goals while executing your clinical responsibilities.
Minimum Job Qualifications:- Licensure or Certifications: Registered by the Commission for Dietetic Registration. Licensed in the state of Georgia.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- Experience: Relevant experience in clinical nutrition.
- Other: As required.
- Preferred Licensure or Certifications: Additional certifications in specialized areas.
- Preferred Educational Background: Advanced degrees or certifications.
- Preferred Experience: Experience in a healthcare setting.
- Other: Additional qualifications as necessary.
- Language Proficiency: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific literature, financial documents, and legal texts. Strong presentation skills and the capacity to address inquiries from diverse stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in standard computer applications, including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Mathematical Skills: Competence in calculating figures, proportions, percentages, and basic algebra.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw logical conclusions.
- Nutrition Care Planning: Develop and implement appropriate nutritional care plans for patients. Assess nutritional status, create care strategies, and educate patients and their families on dietary needs. Provide specialized nutrition care as required.
- Education and Community Engagement: Participate in initiatives that promote proper nutrition, commit to ongoing education, and engage in personal development opportunities.
- Effective Communication: Maintain clear communication through written and verbal means. Collaborate with healthcare team members, ensure accurate documentation, and facilitate communication among Nutrition Services Staff.
- Resource and Educator Role: Serve as a resource for staff, mentor and train as needed, and ensure patient engagement by the management team.
- Compliance and Safety: Execute job responsibilities accurately and safely, adhering to regulations and guidelines. Maintain confidentiality and actively participate in Performance Improvement Programs.
- Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
