Job Summary

New Season is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Telecounselor Associate to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Telecounselor Associate, you will provide individual counseling services via a HIPAA-compliant, synchronous video platform to patients within our clinics across the United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual counseling services to patients via video communication.
  • Educate patients on treatment options, health issues, and steps to recovery.
  • Maintain a performance standard of 50% of hours worked spent in direct patient contact each month.
  • Complete patient documentation, including telecounseling screening, psychosocials, and individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams to identify and meet patient needs.
  • Ensure compliance with 42 CFR Part 2 (Federal Confidentiality Regulations) and 45 CFR, Parts 160 & 164 (HIPAA).
  • Participate in staff meetings, treatment team meetings, and individual supervisions as scheduled.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a Human Services-related field.
  • Current Florida Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern under active supervision with the ability to obtain unrestricted Florida licensure within 2 years of hire.
  • At least 1 year of counseling experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in substance abuse and/or telecounseling services preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and technological skills.
Working Conditions

Employees in this role will work in a private workspace with a door that closes and locks. They will be required to secure all work in a locking drawer or cabinet and travel occasionally to treatment centers for training.

Language

The primary language used for this role is English, with second language proficiency helpful.
