Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Welder to join our team at Hughes Resources. As a Fabrication Welder, you will be responsible for processing and assembling various fabrication jobs, completing assigned tasks with high quality and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and Follow Plans and Guidelines: Read and follow plans, material lists, and guidelines, and apply necessary timelines to ensure accurate and efficient fabrication.
  • Operate Welding Equipment: Operate welding equipment, arc gouging equipment, oxy-fuel and brazing torches, jigs, holding fixtures, measuring instruments, personal computers, and hand tools.
  • Conduct Visual and Dimensional Checks: Conduct visual and dimensional checks of own work and completed work of lower-level welders, and provide work assistance, guidance, and training as required.
  • Follow Safety Procedures: Follow general work orders and specific safety procedures in the fabrication of difficult production parts and various sub and final weldments of all sizes and configurations through general arc welding, MIG.
  • Operate Drill Press and Other Equipment: Operate drill press, brake press, and other equipment, and read drawings (blueprints) to fabricate a variety of complex, low, and high-volume parts.
  • Maintain Work Area: Maintain work area, equipment, and supplies in a neat and organized manner.
  • Final Inspection and Paperwork: Conduct final inspection of finished work and complete associated paperwork in a timely manner.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Experience: Related experience or completed training.
  • Computer Skills: Advanced computer skills, specifically Microsoft products.
  • Trade School Certification: Trade School Certification is preferred.
  • Product Knowledge: Similar or related product knowledge is preferred.
  • Production Environment: Experience in a production environment is preferred.
