Work Schedule: The Outpatient Clinic operates Monday through Friday, with 8-hour shifts required (minimum of 2 shifts per month).

The team at the Cedars-Sinai Neurological Multidisciplinary Clinic partners closely with the medical staff to deliver exceptional and innovative care to patients dealing with post-operative and chronic conditions. This dynamic clinic environment demands the ability to work autonomously.

As a per-diem Rehabilitative Specialist in the Cedars-Sinai Neurological Clinic, your primary responsibilities will include conducting evaluations and implementing suitable treatment interventions in accordance with established policies. You will ensure that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and within the designated timeframes. Utilize validated and standardized outcome measures to set goals, track progress, and assess patient rehabilitation outcomes. You will also oversee and adjust the progress of patients assigned to assistants, while demonstrating effective communication skills with patients, families, and the care team.

Employment Status: The Rehabilitative Specialist position is classified as at-will employment, with no guaranteed hours. Scheduling is based on staffing needs and availability, with a minimum requirement of 16 hours per month.

Qualifications

Educational Background:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Program - minimum bachelor's degree required.
  • Master's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program - preferred.
  • Doctorate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program - preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

  • California Physical Therapy License - required upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support Certification - required upon hire.

Additional Requirements:

  • A minimum of one year of experience as a practicing therapist.
  • Experience in conducting evaluations, developing and executing treatment plans, and providing education tailored to the patient's age.
  • Proficiency in assessment and intervention techniques within a medical and physical disabilities context.
