Job Summary

Child & Family Service is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Head Teacher Substitute to fill in for the assigned Head Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing the daily curriculum, managing and supervising all aspects of the Head Start Program for their classroom site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement daily lesson plans that align with the Head Start Program's curriculum and goals.
  • Supervise and support teaching assistants and other staff members to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Manage classroom operations, including maintaining a safe and healthy environment, and ensuring compliance with program policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience working with children ages 3-5 and their families.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues and families.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required.
