The responsibilities for this role may encompass the following:

  • Delivering fire protection engineering expertise for military installations.
  • Executing fire safety assessments, risk evaluations, and hazard analyses.
  • Creating and assessing fire protection designs, specifications, and schematics.
  • Ensuring adherence to relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Collaborating with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders.
  • Conducting inspections and evaluations of fire protection systems.
This position is dependent on contract award, and multiple hires may be made from this announcement.

Compensation: Expected salary range is $112,000 - $136,000.

Work Environment:
  • Moderate noise levels typical of an office setting with computers and phones, along with occasional loud noise from equipment.
  • Ability to remain seated at a computer for extended periods.
Physical Requirements:
  • While fulfilling job duties, employees must be able to sit, stand, communicate, and hear.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer is required.

Travel Requirements:
  • Occasional travel of 11-20% may be necessary.

Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in fire protection engineering.
  • Strong understanding of fire protection engineering principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with National Fire Protection Association codes and standards.
  • Proficiency in fire modeling and simulation software.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Outstanding communication and client engagement abilities.
  • Professional proficiency in English is mandatory.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current, active secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Registered Professional Engineer.
  • Experience in designing and evaluating fire protection systems in governmental or military settings.
