Quality Assurance Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Amphenol. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for driving site quality initiatives and acting as the quality liaison for our valued customers.
This role will involve leading advanced product quality activities and playing a critical role in supporting product and process changes to ensure that we surpass customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support to the Quality department
- Drive advanced quality product initiatives by working cross-functionally with other areas from initial notification through product launch, including PPAP
- Customer liaison with ownership of inquiries, concerns, issues, and general information
- Thorough understanding of customer scorecards and drive needed improvements
- Support sourcing with supplier development/approval
- Draft and revise reports, procedures, and documents
- Lead quality management system reviews
- Ensure full site quality compliance and maintain sustainable/effective QMS
- Conducts internal/external product, process, system, and layered audits
- Ensures complaints/failures are resolved timely
- Identify, implement, and support methods to improve site quality metrics, including 1st pass yield, scrap, rework, and defect reduction
- Provide active input to continuous improvement
- Analyze/interpret quality results/information
- Travel as necessary
Requirements
- 4-year technical degree or minimum 4 years relevant experience, preferably in the automotive industry
- ASQ certification
- Highly analytical/qualitative, strong problem-solving & interpersonal skills
- Inspection/measurement/test equipment calibration
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent oral/written communications
- Microsoft proficiency
- Proven multiple project leadership and process development experience
