Job Description

AdeIphi MedicaI Staffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in Hadley, MA. This per diem position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to patients in a skilled nursing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care, including medication administration, wound care, and vital signs monitoring.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop personalized care plans.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments with precision and attention to detail.
  • Evaluate and manage wounds, incisions, and injuries, monitoring for infection or complications.
  • Continuously monitor and document patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, recording changes in condition, administered treatments, and medication management.
  • Educate patients and families on medical conditions, medications, and self-care practices.
  • Provide care for patients with urinary catheters, including insertion, maintenance, and monitoring for complications.
  • Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Address patient comfort and safety requirements, including positioning, mobility assistance, and pain management.
  • Respond promptly and effectively during medical emergencies, adhering to established protocols.
  • Adhere to infection control procedures, ensuring proper hand hygiene and utilization of PPE.
  • Safely handle, store, and dispose of medications and medical supplies, following regulations and guidelines.
  • Foster health and wellness by promoting preventive care measures and aiding with health assessments.
  • Advocate for patients' rights and needs within the healthcare system.
  • Stay current on nursing best practices, regulations, and advancements through ongoing education and training.
  • In certain cases, LPNs may supervise certified nursing assistants (CNAs) or unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs).

Requirements:

  • Valid and active Licensed Practical Nurse State license.
  • BLS certification.
