About the ProgramThe Integrated Substance Use Disorder Training Program (ISTP) is a new training fellowship that aims to train nurse practitioners, psychologists, and social workers in team-based addiction care, especially for under-served and diverse communities. The program provides clinical experience in a variety of placements, including an inpatient addiction consult service, a low-threshold walk-in clinic, and outpatient dual-diagnosis programs for adolescents and adults.
Responsibilities- Provide inter-disciplinary care for people with substance use disorders in a community-based health center setting.
- Work with other ISTP trainees to provide comprehensive care for patients with substance use disorders.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in training and mentorship provided by experienced addiction practitioners.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required.
- Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Clinical Nurse Specialist (PMHCNS).
- Current licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Current DEA license.
- Current MA Controlled Substances Registration (MCSR).
