Surgical Technician

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team at Lifespan. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain the operating room, including setting up equipment and instrumentation.
- Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, including passing instruments and supplies.
- Perform surgical counts and ensure accurate inventory of equipment and supplies.
- Collaborate with the operating room circulator to prepare the operating room and maintain a sterile environment.
- Participate in inventory management, including ordering and stocking supplies.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting with room turnover and maintaining a clean and organized operating room.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; graduation from an accredited school of surgical technology preferred.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required.
- 1-5 years of experience in a surgical setting preferred.
- Knowledge of aseptic technique, infection control principles, and sterilization techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
The Surgical Technician will work in a fast-paced operating room environment, with frequent exposure to blood-borne pathogens and other infectious materials. The ability to work in a team environment and maintain a calm and composed demeanor in high-pressure situations is essential.
