About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Georgian Linguist to join our team at KACE. As a Georgian Linguist, you will play a critical role in supporting our mission to provide language services to government agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform real-time transcriptions of sensitive material from Georgian to English
  • Collect, analyze, identify, and decode colloquialisms and slang terms
  • Extract pertinent information and communicate it to law enforcement agents
  • Transcribe source documents and recordings from storage media
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and three years of experience in a professional setting, or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of transcription experience in the required language
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Residency
  • Knowledge of source language colloquial terms and expressions
  • Knowledgeable in SMS language, social media, and Webchat
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in the target language
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet stringent deadlines
Working Conditions
  • Employees will be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Security Clearance
  • Favorable credit check for all cleared positions
  • Successfully passing a background investigation, medical, and drug screen
Physical Requirements
  • Standing/Walking/Mobility: Must have mobility to attend meetings with other managers and employees
  • Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 0% - 10% of the time
  • Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 0% - 10% of the time
  • Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to write, type, and use a telephone system 100% of the time
  • Sitting: Sitting for prolonged and extended periods of time while monitoring live or taped calls
