About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Georgian Linguist to join our team at KACE. As a Georgian Linguist, you will play a critical role in supporting our mission to provide language services to government agencies.
Key Responsibilities- Perform real-time transcriptions of sensitive material from Georgian to English
- Collect, analyze, identify, and decode colloquialisms and slang terms
- Extract pertinent information and communicate it to law enforcement agents
- Transcribe source documents and recordings from storage media
- Bachelor's degree and three years of experience in a professional setting, or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of transcription experience in the required language
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
- US Citizenship or Permanent Residency
- Knowledge of source language colloquial terms and expressions
- Knowledgeable in SMS language, social media, and Webchat
- Excellent verbal and written skills in the target language
- Strong computer skills in MS Office
- Ability to work under pressure and meet stringent deadlines
- Employees will be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Security Clearance
- Favorable credit check for all cleared positions
- Successfully passing a background investigation, medical, and drug screen
- Standing/Walking/Mobility: Must have mobility to attend meetings with other managers and employees
- Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 0% - 10% of the time
- Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 0% - 10% of the time
- Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to write, type, and use a telephone system 100% of the time
- Sitting: Sitting for prolonged and extended periods of time while monitoring live or taped calls
