Job Summary

The Warehouse Manager at Genuine Parts Company plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our distribution centers. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this individual will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the General Manager to drive operational excellence, focusing on process improvements and employee engagement.

• Oversee daily management system activities, ensuring timely reporting and response to key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Provide leadership and guidance to warehouse staff, empowering them to identify and address inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate activities and meet customer demands, promoting a customer-centric approach.

• Analyze performance metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement, driving innovative solutions to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness.

• Assist in budget planning and cost management, optimizing resources and maximizing profitability.

• Resolve customer inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner, ensuring exceptional customer service.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a managerial role within a distribution center or similar environment.

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

• Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics software.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field, or 3 years of experience leading a team in a distribution center.

• Diverse experience, especially within automotive or retail distribution centers.

• Proven experience performing various quality functions, such as inspection, control, assurance, and audits.

• Lean six sigma and project management skills.

• Expertise in leveraging relevant tools and technology, including MS Office, Promapp, Power BI, Visio, and more.

• Customer-centric spirit and task-execution.

• Enthusiasm for data analysis and providing simple insights.

• Passion for solving complex challenges.

• Comfort influencing others, leading teams, managing stakeholders, and communicating clearly.

• Test-and-learn mentality and agile way of working to improve team products.
