Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Communication Specialist to join our team in Hydril, California. As a key member of our student support team, you will provide vital speech and language services to students with communication disorders, conducting thorough evaluations and developing tailored treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and assess students' communication needs, identifying areas for improvement and developing targeted intervention strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordinated support for students.
- Deliver high-quality speech and language therapy sessions, adapting to individual students' needs and progress.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, treatment plans, and session outcomes, providing regular progress updates.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A valid California State SLP License and Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent.
- Proven experience in school-based settings, preferably with prior knowledge of educational frameworks and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, ensuring timely delivery of services and effective record-keeping.
