Position Overview - NURSE ANESTHETIST POOL

The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) plays a vital role in providing anesthesia care as part of a collaborative healthcare team under the guidance of an anesthesiologist. The CRNA is responsible for conducting thorough and continuous patient evaluations, effectively communicating with the healthcare team, utilizing resources wisely to ensure the highest quality of care, and meticulously documenting all aspects of patient care in the designated records.

The CRNA administers various types of anesthesia, including general and regional anesthetics, as well as Monitored Anesthesia Care during surgical and obstetric procedures, all under the medical supervision of an attending Anesthesiologist. The CRNA assesses patient conditions, advises the attending Anesthesiologist on suitable anesthetic options, administration techniques, and necessary supportive measures, adhering to departmental protocols.

Educational Requirements
  1. High School Diploma or Equivalent (Mandatory)
  2. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Mandatory)
  3. Master's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
Professional Experience
  1. Minimum of 1 Year in critical care nursing as part of a successful CRNA program (Mandatory)
  2. At least 2 Years in an academic medical center or as a practicing CRNA (Preferred)
Licensure and Certifications
  1. PA Registered Nurse License (Mandatory)
  2. Certification as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist (Mandatory)
  3. Basic Life Support Certification (Mandatory)
  4. Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (Mandatory)
