Maaco Collision Repair and Auto Paint is seeking a skilled Collision Refinish Technician to join our team. As a critical member of our paint shop, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality refinishing services to collision damaged components and assemblies.

About the Job:

  • This position requires three to five years of prior work experience in automotive collision repair and refinishing.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a certificate or degree in automotive collision repair and refinishing, as well as I-CAR Professional Development Program Level 1 or higher.
  • You should have extensive knowledge of refinish products and their use and application, including tinting automotive refinish materials to obtain color match.
  • Able to spray smooth metallic finishes without mottling, properly spray clearcoats with consistent shiny appearance, and mix and catalyze all paint materials required.
  • The selected candidate will be skilled in using an automotive refinish mixing system scale and software, and applying automotive refinish materials, stripes, and graphics to vehicles.
  • Able to identify imperfections in the vehicle prior to painting and repair or escalate to management.

Responsibilities:

  1. Mixes appropriate amount of liquid materials to minimize waste.
  2. Tints colors to obtain accurate color match to the vehicle's existing finish.
  3. Apply primer, sealer, color, and clearcoat to vehicle components and assemblies.
  4. Keep work area clean and organized.
  5. Assist other technicians as needed for prepping vehicles for paint.
  6. Follow and comply with all standard operating procedures and hazardous waste disposal.
  7. Perform quality control on every vehicle to make sure that repairs are completed correctly, and the vehicle is properly prepped prior to painting.
  8. Paint five or more complete work orders per weekday shift and 2 or more work orders per Saturday shift.

Our estimated salary range for this position is $$55,000-$65,000 per year, plus additional benefits such as flexible schedule, employee discounts, training & development opportunities, and access to cutting-edge equipment and technology. Work Environment:

This position involves working in a fast-paced environment, both inside and outside, in various weather conditions. The ideal candidate must be able to continuously stand or walk for extended periods of time, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds or more, and occasionally work on elevated surfaces.
