Collision Refinish Technician

Maaco Collision Repair and Auto Paint is seeking a skilled Collision Refinish Technician to join our team. As a critical member of our paint shop, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality refinishing services to collision damaged components and assemblies.
About the Job:
- This position requires three to five years of prior work experience in automotive collision repair and refinishing.
- The ideal candidate will possess a certificate or degree in automotive collision repair and refinishing, as well as I-CAR Professional Development Program Level 1 or higher.
- You should have extensive knowledge of refinish products and their use and application, including tinting automotive refinish materials to obtain color match.
- Able to spray smooth metallic finishes without mottling, properly spray clearcoats with consistent shiny appearance, and mix and catalyze all paint materials required.
- The selected candidate will be skilled in using an automotive refinish mixing system scale and software, and applying automotive refinish materials, stripes, and graphics to vehicles.
- Able to identify imperfections in the vehicle prior to painting and repair or escalate to management.
Responsibilities:
- Mixes appropriate amount of liquid materials to minimize waste.
- Tints colors to obtain accurate color match to the vehicle's existing finish.
- Apply primer, sealer, color, and clearcoat to vehicle components and assemblies.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Assist other technicians as needed for prepping vehicles for paint.
- Follow and comply with all standard operating procedures and hazardous waste disposal.
- Perform quality control on every vehicle to make sure that repairs are completed correctly, and the vehicle is properly prepped prior to painting.
- Paint five or more complete work orders per weekday shift and 2 or more work orders per Saturday shift.

Benefits and Compensation:

Our estimated salary range for this position is $$55,000-$65,000 per year, plus additional benefits such as flexible schedule, employee discounts, training & development opportunities, and access to cutting-edge equipment and technology. Work Environment:
This position involves working in a fast-paced environment, both inside and outside, in various weather conditions. The ideal candidate must be able to continuously stand or walk for extended periods of time, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds or more, and occasionally work on elevated surfaces.
