Job Summary:

DSW is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Store Associate to join our team. As a Store Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and supporting sales floor and warehouse functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide friendly and helpful service to customers, assessing their needs and providing assistance as needed.
  • Maintain a neat and clean store environment, including the sales floor, stockroom, and break room.
  • Support sales floor and warehouse functions, including receiving and processing merchandise, completing transactions, and fulfilling customer orders.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, promoting DSW's values and customer service model.
  • Participate in daily team meetings and ongoing training to stay up-to-date on company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to move with tempo to meet time-bound expectations.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in using technology to engage with customers.
  • Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing or walking around the store.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional to frequent basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of retail experience as a Cashier, Retail Floor Generalist, or Store Receiver.
