Head Teller Job Description

Renasant Bank is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Teller to lead our branch team in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales growth. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, mentoring and coaching team members, and ensuring compliance with bank policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead by example in customer engagement, service execution, operational excellence, leadership, and management
  • Coach and mentor team members to achieve sales and customer service goals
  • Oversee daily operations, including balancing, supplies ordering, and branch capture procedures
  • Recognize and refer sales opportunities to other bank representatives and/or lines of business
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly branch assessments and contribute to employee performance evaluations
  • Mentor and onboard new team members, ensuring a smooth transition and excellent customer experience
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college education preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of cash handling experience, with at least 1 year of successful teller experience
  • Minimum 1 year of leadership experience, with a proven track record of sales management and coaching
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a strong sense of teamwork and attention to detail
  • Ability to travel for training and development opportunities, as needed
